auce Bae scorched its way on to the scene during Season 9 of the popular show Hot Ones, known for their "Hot Questions and Even Hotter Wings." Taking the second slot in the line up of 10 other hot sauces, Sauce Bae eased guests into the thought that they had a long road ahead. As Kristen Bell put it, "We're inflaming our taste buds with hot sauce and then the inflammation is coming from the turmeric....what a thoughtful sauce." The famous sauce can now be found across the United States in various markets and grocery stores. Sauce Bae's story is a testament to the fact that, sometimes, all it takes is one unique idea to create a buzz in the market and capture the hearts (and taste buds) of health-conscious consumers.

Ingredients That Matter

Sauce Bae is known for its all-natural ingredients. Unlike some hot sauces that are filled with preservatives and artificial flavors, Sauce Bae is made with only the best ingredients, ensuring that you're getting a high-quality product. Turmeric, Pineapple, and Habaneros are at the core of each bottle. By using high-quality ingredients, Sauce Bae ensures that its customers are getting a hot sauce that not only tastes great, but is also healthier and won't make you turn radioactive like other options on the market.

An All Too Common Journey of Autoimmune Disease

Knowing someone with an autoimmune disease or who has some type of crazy inflammatory reaction just by looking at bread seems all too common these days. However, for Sauce Bae founder and autoimmune disease survivor, Kevin Carbone, it was the catalyst for creating a hot sauce brand that not only tasted great, but could be beneficial to our health. A hot sauce that is like having your cake and eating it too; except in this case, it's hot sauce, and you can put it on anything from tacos to scrambled eggs (and even cake if your feeling adventurous). Kevin's story is another epic example of turning darkness into light.

A Hot Sauce You Don't Feel The Next Day

Sauce Bae might be right for you if you're tired of sauces filled with chemicals found at the waste dump, or just simply looking for a unique take on hot sauce.

Musings from the Trail

Through my own healing journey of dealing with pain, tiredness, and other various ailments, I had sought out multiple doctors who only pointed out a wide range of various "issues" and rushed to get me on medication. However, apart from two, none of them suggested any dietary changes to address my problems. After firing the "experts," I turned to doing my own study and research, as well as consulted with a few close friends and family members. The support and information that I found was remarkable. Little did I know about the profound negative effects that even nutritious food could have on one's body. It brought me to seek and find the root causes that would give me a road map to foundational healing.

This culminated in a journey to go on an elimination diet which would give me a better understanding of how my body was reacting to various food groups. Throughout this journey, I discovered that some items I believed to be healthy, such as mushrooms, were actually not currently beneficial for my body. Bit by bit I learned more and found valuable resources and individuals who continued to pour life into this journey.

While I had to cut out nearly all of the foods that I enjoyed, however, hot sauce was near the top of the list of things that I missed. I enjoyed hot sauce so much that I would even bring extra bottles on deployment in case we would run out before pulling back into port. It wasn't until I stumbled across the Hot Ones episode with Idris Elba that I regained excitement, because there was a hot sauce that had ingredients that didn't cause havoc to my body. After that episode, I reached out to Sauce Bae's founder, Kevin Carbone. He shared with me his genuine story of creating the hot sauce that was not only delicious but also beneficial to our health. The realization that I could savor hot sauce on virtually anything shy of ice cream reignited a fiery passion within me.

The average person is still under the aberrant delusion that food should be somebody else's responsibility until I'm ready to eat it. [Joel Salatin]
